How to make lotion bars with coconut oil.
This will make a softer bar.
Start with 10 drops of each and then add more until desired scent is reached.
Pour melted coconut oil and beeswax into lotion bar molds or muffin tins.
For a firmer bar use one cup butter a half cup oil and a cup of wax or similar proportions.
Place all ingredients in a double boiler and warm until melted.
Tor the recipe you would need 20 tsp coconut oil and 19 tsp beeswax.
Place 4 ounces 127 grams of coconut oil and 1 ounces 42 52 grams emulsifying wax into a microwave safe bowl.
For instance as one cup cocoa butter one cup coconut oil and one cup beeswax.
Add essential oils a little at a time.
Stir in the shea butter until melted.
If you wanted to make a double batch then it would be 40 tsp coconut oil and 38 tsp beeswax and so on.
Carefully pour into empty plastic tubes.
You can also place them in the refrigerator if you need to speed up the process.
