I recently bought a 1050c plus printer in fairly decent working condition. Choose soft medium or hard to perform level 1 level 2 or level 3 cleaning respectively. Do not use alcohol or any other cleaning fluid to clean the contact points or print head. Click clean printheads.

To access the printhead cleaners lower the access door on the right hand side of the printer and gently lift up on the front tab of the printhead cleaner and pull out each of the cleaners. Clean the electrical contacts on the carriage and the printheads using a lint free cloth such as a coffee filter or eye glass cleaning cloth where required lightly dampen cloth with water don t use tap water which may contain contaminants but distilled or bottled water and set the printhead down onto a sheet of paper or paper towel with nozzles facing up. I used to use a roland sp540v in the office but this 1050c was for home so i am a little familiar with large format printers. Mix and or match does not seem to make a difference.
