In theory your hvac installer configured it properly during installation.
Hvac blower fan noise.
For some units this sound is normal upon start up.
Blower and fan noises such as squeaks squeals and rattles may be transmitted through the duct system.
Eventually things wear or get loose and will begin making noise that is carried into your living spaces.
But they run a lot and move thousands of cubic feet of air every year.
In reality not all installations are perfect and many fans are set at too high a speed.
Quiet a loud blower motor.
When you hear a high pitched squeal or whining sound coming from your furnace the issue could very well be the bearings on your blower motor.
Bearings should generally last a long time on blower motors.
Loose parts on the furnace can be the reason behind the unwanted noise you re experiencing as the blower runs.
If this is the case you may have issues with your ductwork or might need to reduce the fan speed of your furnace.
Rattling from the outside compressor or fan unit another common hvac noise is rattle.
Outdoor fan motors and indoor blower motors squeal loudly when they re going bad.
The louder the sound the more serious the problem can be.
This problem can be solved very easily if you simply add a few more screws to the air duct or even put duct tape on the loose parts.
If you hear the clicking noise while the ac is running it could mean a small object has nestled its way into your blower fan so the object hits against the fan as it spins.
This fix only works when the fan speed was too high in the first place.
If you hear the clicking noise when you try to start your ac but it won t start that s usually a sign of an electrical issue within the thermostat compressor or capacitor.
It also could a pulley with failing bearings.
These sounds may be an indication of loose hardware or a failing motor.
This could mean that your compressor is failing.
The only true moving parts in your furnace are the blower fan and motor.
They can last as long as 30 years with proper hvac maintenance.
If your interior ac heat fan blower motor is making noise like a card in a bicycle spoke then you probably just need to clean.
The blower wheel and housing will also squeal when they malfunction.
When the fan turns on in your compressor unit it should not rattle.
